Canoe & Bike combi
Besides wonderful paddling on the river, you can also choose our Canoe & Bike combi. Downstream paddling by canoe, kayak or raft. Upstream you follow a beautiful cycling route through a typical river landscape.
Of course you can provide your own transportation or use our taxi service. (Please indicate this in the reservation)
Both at the start and end the endpoint, there will be an opportunity for snacks and drinks. (Note. They are Not open every day)
A trip with a Canoe, Kayak or Raft
You will paddle on a beautiful part of The Meuse River that forms the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. There are no motorized boats here. We canoeists are guests in this beautiful nature reserve.
Herds of wild horses and Galloway cattle can be admired from the water. The beavers keep the valley's vegetation in check with their gnawing. Bank swallows, kingfishers, herons and countless other birds enrich the area with their sounds and colors.
The Meuse Valley magically lets you feel what it's really all about... Enjoying, relaxing and connecting with each other and the calmness of the area. Wonderful!
Practical Information
The canoe trip starts in the village Itteren, next to Maastricht. The endpoint of the Canoe trip is in the village Meers (Elsloo). This is also the starting point of the cycling route.
Depending on which order is agreed upon during the reservation, you will start with the canoe tour, or with the bike tour or cab ride.
Distances
Canoe trip: Maastricht/Itteren - Meers 11km (+/- 2.5 hours paddling)
Bicycle tour: Meers - Maastricht/Itteren 10km (+/- 1 hour cycling)
For groups, we can arrange more extensive routes.

Street: 'Op de Meer' - Maastricht/Itteren (Starting point second left up the dike in the street Op de Meer)
Attention! No parking here!
Park at our parking lot at the corner of Pasestraat/Op de Meer (beginning of street).
Please do not park in the adjacent streets!

Parking lot behind Cafe "De Witte Börstel."
Koevaart 15 Meers (Elsloo)
This is also the end point of the Canoe Trip.
